Exciting News

The Farmstead has been hard at work for the last 10 months and we are so excited to share that our 100% A2, grass-fed, organic, cream-top, whole and maple milk is coming to stores this week! We are on track today to bottle our first batch. This has been a long time in the making and we are so grateful to finally be at this step!

If I take you all back about a year ago, Tom and I were having one of our nightly chats, trying to decide if the next step for our family was to move to a larger farm that could handle more cows in order to provide for our  family. From the beginning of our farming days we have always felt it important to preserve the small family farm. Not feeling led in that direction we knew we had to think of a new plan that would allow us to succeed on our small farm. It was at this moment that we both looked at each other and said, “Let’s start our own creamery!”

What used to be our three bay garage is now a processing plant and because of a lack of space we added on to attach that garage to our barn. Little did we know what would go into “Let’s start a creamery!” For it has brought about more challenges than we could have ever foreseen. Thankfully we have gotten through them all and I am sure there will be more to come but we are blessed for this opportunity.

You hear the term “feeding the world.” We don’t want to take on a task that size because when you do the quality is just not there. We want to focus on bringing our local area a product they can feel good about consuming. This milk is really “made with love.” Tommy and I, and all our family and friends that help this farm and creamery stay afloat, truly love what we are doing. We care for the land that provides for the cows, we care for the cows that provide milk for our family, and we care about our community and are grateful to now get to share this milk with you all.
